Fawkner Park

  • The Fawkner Park Northern Pavilion Refurbishment for the City of Melbourne was a significant project, updating a heritage-listed pavilion to serve the local community and sporting clubs better. Located within a lively public park, this project included transforming the building into a more functional and inclusive space by adding modern, female-friendly change rooms, updated toilet facilities, a dedicated umpire’s room, and upgraded club rooms.

One of the primary challenges involved retaining the historical integrity of the structure while enhancing functionality for contemporary use. Our team worked closely with the architects and project managers to preserve the original architectural features, while integrating new amenities to meet the needs of the park’s diverse user groups. A key part of our work involved managing hazardous materials safely and adhering to strict heritage guidelines, ensuring that the pavilion's character remained intact while bringing it up to modern standards.

Our approach focused on minimising disruption in this high-traffic public park, and we coordinated with various stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient construction process. The completed pavilion now provides a welcoming space for community gatherings and sporting events, receiving enthusiastic feedback from local clubs and park visitors alike. This project underscores United Project Solutions' commitment to delivering high-quality public infrastructure that respects heritage while serving the evolving needs of Melbourne’s communities.
