In 2020, United Project Solutions was engaged by the City of Port Phillip to extend and refurbish the Liardet Street Community Centre, creating a more versatile and user-friendly space for the Port Melbourne community. The project included both interior and exterior upgrades, designed to accommodate a wider range of community activities and services within a modernised, welcoming environment. 

Key aspects of the extension included an expanded layout with additional rooms for workshops, classes, and community events, as well as improved accessibility features to ensure inclusivity for all visitors. The refurbished interiors incorporated durable, easy-to-maintain finishes suited to high-traffic use, while also contributing to a warm and inviting atmosphere. 

The renovation also provided new amenities such as upgraded restroom facilities, breakout areas, and flexible meeting rooms, creating adaptable spaces that could be adjusted based on the needs of the community. Strategic upgrades to the building’s lighting, ventilation, and energy efficiency were made to ensure a sustainable and comfortable environment for both staff and visitors.
